As cyber threats to critical infrastructure and industrial environments increase, employees are becoming a key part of a company's defense against attacks. This course is designed to empower key employees in manufacturing and industrial environments to understand OT security, increase security awareness, and actively contribute to reducing the risk of cyberattacks.
The course provides a basic introduction to IT and OT security with a focus on industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, and operational technologies. Participants learn the fundamental principles behind industrial cybersecurity, the differences between IT and OT, and best practices for protecting industrial environments.
The training is delivered by leading experts from ICS Range, who combine theoretical insights with practical examples, ensuring that participants gain concrete tools and skills that can be directly applied to their work with industrial processes and critical infrastructure.
After completing the course, you will have a basic understanding of OT security and industrial control systems, as well as how cyberattacks can be identified and detected in OT environments. You will gain insight into typical vulnerabilities in industrial systems and a better understanding of the mindset and attack methods of hackers in ICS and SCADA environments. In addition, you will receive practical tools that can be used directly to strengthen OT security in your organization and contribute to the protection of critical infrastructure. As part of the course, you will also receive free trial access to the ICS Range training platform, so you can continue your learning in practice.
The course supports organizations in their work with current regulatory requirements for critical infrastructure, including NIS2 and CER, and contributes to a more structured approach to OT security and risk management. It provides a better understanding of how industrial systems can be mapped, analyzed and protected against cyber attacks, while strengthening security awareness among employees in production and industrial environments. The course thus helps to increase the resilience of ICS, SCADA and OT environments and makes it easier to work proactively to protect critical systems from modern cyber threats.
